No, I am not planning to be an institutional art therapist. This book is just full of information any art therapist could profit from. It is also a good book for those interested in how the prison system work.
In other news, I attended the memorial service on campus today to acknowledge the shootings at VTI earlier this week and the 12th anniversary of the Murrah bombing. The Methodist bishop did a good sermon. We did a short forensic psychological autopsy on the shooter in Forensic Psych today and then watched part of this DVD on positive thinking:
It's a combination of positive thinking, the law of faith and a few other things. Once you get past the infomercial feel, you realize that they aren't really being that way out there. Didn't see it all, but I did see enough to realize that they were going to cover more solid concepts. I think the first part is to get people to pay attention and digesting a simplified version of the message before getting into the more practical and in-depth aspects.
