These are the pieces of mine that made it into the student art show.
And here is the valkyrie mask I did. (Was not entered into the show.)
In other news, my son came in third in his school's media contest and won an Ipod Shuffle and my daughter has been accepted into a special college prep program for those interested in medical science.
This first one here is me copying from a sketch from an old master. I don't remember the orignial artist. I want to say he was Flemish, but his subject really has the Hapsburg jawline.
The second piece is one I did Monday and I really like. I was drawing a portion of a still life of plaster arms.
These three are some of the better works of my sketchbook. It's not easy for me. I have lingering repetitive injury from clerical work and I really can't draw for long without becoming stiff.
Some of my friends actually want to see some of my art homework. Personally, I'd rather wait until we get into values and hues, because I work better in those than just contours - in fact, in an assignment or two I snuck some value in, even though I wasn't supposed to. My prof was sympathetic though.
Here are some of the sketches in my sketch book, some of my drawing assignments and my design assignments.
